The common baltic trade fair stand at Jazzahead 2025
Successful International Delegations at jazzahead! and Classical:NEXT Showcase Festivals
Music Estonia, in collaboration with partners, recently coordinated two music sector delegations to the industry’s leading networking events.
The jazzahead! delegation included a total of 23 professionals, six of whom were emerging young professionals. For the first time, the Baltic Club Night was organized, featuring a performance by Kadri Voorand & Mihkel Mälgand. The official showcase program included a performance by the Estonian-Swedish group Svante Söderqvist Trio – The Rocket, joined by Tuulikki Bartosik. The joint Estonian presence at jazzahead! was coordinated together with the Estonian Jazz Union, aiming to create new export opportunities for Estonian jazz musicians and to broaden international networks. Baltic partners included the Latvian Music Information Centre and Lithuanian Jazz Federation. A Baltic focus for 2027 has already been pre-confirmed, promising significant international attention for the Baltic jazz scene.

Together with the Latvian Music Information Centre, a joint reception was held at the shared exhibition stand. One of the event’s highlights was the Estonian Networking Apéro, which brought together nearly 70 international music professionals.
A particularly proud moment was the opening of Classical:NEXT, which featured renowned Latvian pianist Georgijs Osokins performing works by Arvo Pärt in the program FOR ARVO – Works for solo piano by Arvo Pärt.
